About Miami Sound Choir Miami Sound Space’s flagship ensemble, Miami Sound Choir, is a “radically inclusive community choir for adults." There are no auditions to participate and new members are welcome twice a year. Since its founding 6 years ago, Miami Sound Choir has held over 100 rehearsals, welcomed 700 members, and performed at over 15 community events, including an upcoming performance at world-renowned Carnegie Hall.

About Miami Sound Space Miami Sound Space combats community isolation through singing and cultural opportunities in the Greater Miami area. Founded in 2019 by Laurah Merisier, Miami Sound Space has grown from a vision to strengthen communities through music into a vibrant organization with three distinct programs. In addition to Miami Sound Choir, the organization operates The Bluebirds, a men’s choir at the Everglades Correctional Institution, and Threshold Singers, a small group that sings for patients in end-of-life services.
